Carter came to see me for newborn photos and brought along his mom, dad, big sister, Catie and his two angel twin sisters Abby and Brooke.  Big sister is only 20 months older than her new baby brother.  Sweating a bit during a session with 2 kids under  2 is pretty much a given, even though they were both pretty much rockstars.  Catie gave us a little bit of a workout but it was nothing a little “Daniel Tiger” and raisin snack break couldn’t remedy.
You may remember Catie as the rainbow baby from just under a 2 years ago.  The angel bears from her newborn session came along to Carter’s as well so that we could include this family’s twin sisters in their session.
Let’s talk about cute new Carter for a minute though.  First.  His hair is amazing.  It matches his mama’s so perfectly and even has the most perfect little highlights.  He is a pretty chill little guy and was happy to sleep during his entire session.  Little man is already used to the sound of his big sister and wasn’t easily disturbed. He was swaddled for most of his session for safety.  This guy’s clavicle broke at birth.  Birth injuries are never expected, but with a photographer well versed in Newborn safety, sessions can be modified and photos can be taken.
Their mama and I met at a March of Dimes, family team mentor meeting just about 2 years ago, an organization dear to our hearts. Sometimes life puts friends on your path and I am so thankful this family has become a part of my family’s life.

If you are looking for a newborn photographer in the Northern Virginia area, I would love to work with you.  Posed newborn photos are taken at my in-home studio in Sterling, VA when your baby is between 6-14 days old.  It is important to book your newborn session at the beginning of your third trimester, sooner if you are planning to also have maternity photos taken.  I am currently booking newborn sessions for January, February, March and April and May 2017 due dates.  Please contact me for specific availability.
