So you know I’m behind on blogging, because this senior is now an official college freshman!
Dancing and George Mason University are two things close to my heart. Dancing, because I’ve done it since I was a child and George Mason University is my Alma mater.
We all know I’m more familiar with the younger end of the family spectrum. I’m used to having to act super goofy for smiles or cooperation. Senior Sessions are out of my box, but I had a blast taking Katia’s photos. She is an incredibly talented Irish dancer and a smart, bright young lady. I’m confident she will do well.
I enjoyed photographing Katia and the pace was a lot of fun, one that I could easily get used to doing on a more regular basis.
Best of luck to you Katia, I’m sure you’ll make your own mark at GMU. Keep those dancing shoes on!
If you are looking for a milestone photographer in the Northern Virginia area, I would love to work with you. Milestone photos should be reserved 2 months in advance, further out if during peak times of spring or fall. Please contact me for specific availability and a free consultation.
This past weekend I met a great group of crafty 2-5 year olds and their parents at the Crafting, Coffee + Candids event. Our fun, family morning was hosted by Kim of Creigh-ations at Sweet Signatures Bakery in Sterling, VA.
The tiny crafters each received a Creigh-ative Kid Kit full of fun, themed, ready to make activities. The box includes 3 crafts, 2 songs & 1 activity designed just for preschoolers by Kim, a former teacher. Each child had their photo taken in front of the adorable set that Creigh-ations designed for me. Let me tell you, Kim is a well-rounded crafter!!
I loved all of the sweet treats at Sweet Signatures and couldn’t resist taking home a few things for my family. Chocolate croissants are on my husband’s favorite list, so I snatched one up for him as well as a chocolate covered pretzel for my own 5 year old in addition to a yummy iced latte for myself. I’m gluten and dairy free so I was thrilled they had options to fit my dietary needs!
The morning was the perfect trifecta of my own favorite things. I hope you enjoy these photos. If you would like to see another event like this from us, be sure to let me know!

This was such a fun day this past summer. I donated my time to the La Leche League for their community “Live, Love, Latch” picnic. Families signed up for breast feeding mini sessions with all money raised benefitting their local chapter. I met several families with incredibly adorable little ones. Here are a few photos from the mini sessions.
