This momma and I were chatting about extended breastfeeding and just nursing in general while I photographed her and Stella. We stopped on one point during our conversation. “I don’t know how to parent any other way.” Breastfeeding, is one action that seems to provide comfort for most things. Illness, teething, injuries, let’s not forget hunger too. That is not to say that formula fed babies can’t be soothed by their parents in a different way, of course they can. For this duo, it’s just what works.
I met Stella and her mommy at a La Leche League fundraiser last summer. It’s amazing to see just how much she has grown in not quite a year. Little lady was a ham during her individual photos and was cracking herself (and us) up.
