Last week I visited this sweet family of four for a fresh 48 session in their home.  Mama’s birth plans went exactly as she hoped.  That meant she made it home much faster than she initially predicted.  All great news!  In-home fresh 48 sessions are great for home births and for birth plans that involve going home as soon as possible.  The first few days of your baby’s life go by so quickly.  Photos in the first few days are a wonderful way to remember every single teeny tiny, brand new detail!  This mama in particular is a photographer I know, and whew is it intimidating taking photos for a colleague!

I had the privilege of meeting this mama when she photographed the wedding for some of my very best friends.  I am a bit of an extrovert and can’t help but chat up everyone who has anything remotely in common with me!! Natalie has since photographed my best friend’s wedding, too!!  Since we met, I’ve had the big honor of photographing some of Natalie’s own big life moments.  Take a look at their maternity photos from her pregnancy with their first son, their first little guy when he was one, and now these photos welcoming of their second sweet little boy. Natalie has also taken some of my very own favorite family photos including our first photos as a family of four!

During our last 3 photo sessions it has been wonderful getting to know her family and watch them grow.  Her husband is so kind and has quite the eye for light himself!  Their now three year old is such a bright preschooler.  He was so excited to show off his baby brother and shared things with me like “….and look at his cute little claws!” He was also sure to point out the cute little duckies from the hospital bracelet which was still on.

I’m really here to share the pretty photos from their session with you.  Before I do, want to also share Natalie’s website with you so you can look at her incredible talent as well.  She is among the wedding photographers I recommend since I don’t photograph weddings myself.

Check out their photos!

If you are considering fresh 48 photos, I would love to talk with you!  Simply request session information here and I will be in touch with information to help you start your session planning!  Fresh 48 photos are taken during the first 2 days after baby’s birth.  It is important they are booked early in your third trimester.
