Fundraiser mini sessions have become an annual collaborative effort between myself and two of my photography colleagues and friends, Blaire of Second Ave Photography, and Justine of Fluttering Shutter Photography. We select one day a year to volunteer our photography time and talents, and host a mini session event.  We extend these mini sessions to our clients in exchange for a donation to the designated non-profit organization chosen to be the beneficiary for that year. 100% of proceeds from session fees for the event go to the designated non-profit.

How It All Began

Giving back to my community has always been something that is important to me in my personal life.  I have carried that value into my professional life as well.  Fundraiser mini sessions were an idea born from two moms and business owners who had something in common.  We were both preemie mamas who were involved with the March of Dimes. From December through March we spent our spare time fundraising in the ways we could think of. 

Together we decided that we could use our businesses to amplify our voices, and donate our time and talents to make a bigger impact, and so we did! We worked together to create a format that would provide our clients with a photography opportunity that also provided an opportunity to give back to a common cause.  Our first fundraiser mini session event went incredibly well.  We loved working together for a shared cause. Eventually, another good friend, and photography business owner joined the club no one really wants to be a part of when her baby was born early, too.  She began fundraising for the March of Dimes as well and we were thrilled when we invited her to join us, she wanted to share in our mini session fundraising efforts.

Together we wanted to grow our efforts to amplify the message for smaller non profit organizations, and fundraise for them as well.
