We had very different plans for these photos, but it snowed the day before this family photo session. Mid-April–we thought we were out of the woods on the whole winter storm advisory thing.
I knew that mama really wanted to be able to put her girls in spring dresses and not worry about chilly weather, so we rescheduled for the following week and we made it work. I had been stalking these late blooming cherries for an entire month and was so frustrated that they hadn’t bloomed yet. It worked out perfectly because while the frost got a couple of the buds near the top of the tree, the rest popped just days before their session.
Baby sister is turning 1 so it was important to incorporate her birthday in this photo session as well. We opted to skip the cake smash bit. Juliana decided a prop smash was in order instead.
Enjoy these photos!
