This family of 4 was incredibly sweet. At 5 and 1, their babies are the same age as my own and I know that show well! Thankfully they were far easier to photograph than my own family and we came away with several great images.
I can’t wait to see which photos they choose for their holiday cards, and to hang on their walls.
If you are looking for a family photographer in the Northern Virginia area including Loudoun, Fairfax, Sterling, or Leesburg, I would love to work with you. It is important to book your session at least 6 weeks in advance to ensure the most availability. Please contact me for more details.
This was such a fun day this past summer. I donated my time to the La Leche League for their community “Live, Love, Latch” picnic. Families signed up for breast feeding mini sessions with all money raised benefitting their local chapter. I met several families with incredibly adorable little ones. Here are a few photos from the mini sessions.
Did I really not write a blog post for little Catie Jo? I don’t know how it didn’t happen but so much has happened since her session.
Catie Jo’s momma and I met when she joined the family team mentor committee for the March of Dimes which I am also a part of. I had heard their family’s story the year before and was incredibly touched by all that they had endured in such a short time. Catie’s momma and I were due about a month apart, so agreeing to take Catie’s photos was a *bit* of a risk…but I just had to take these photos. I will forever cherish being a part of Catie Jo’s start and hope that her momma and daddy love these photos forever. I hope you enjoy these photos and the tribute to Catie’s two big sisters.

It is SO important to book ahead! Facebook is also a great way to keep up with all things happening at Jamie Romaezi Photography. I am now booking newborns due August 2015 or later.
Favorite people are hard to find. When you find those special people in your life, you keep them around. I met Heather 8 years ago just before she moved to the Washington D.C. area from Chicago. I couldn’t even tell you how we became friends (especially because she recently admitted that *gasp* she didn’t like me when she first met me) but we have been through a ton in 8 years. New boyfriends (for us both), our first real jobs in the same place, new pets, new homes, now both of our engagements, she was one of my bridesmaids, and the person who brought some of her sparkle and lots of decorations to my hospital room when I was admitted for 3 months.
She and Justin have been together for 6 of the years I’ve known Heather. He moved all the way here from the Lone Star State, Texas so they could be together. Texans are pretty loyal to their home town so that speaks volumes! I’m so very happy they have found one another and will be getting married this July.
It was so fun taking their photos, but goodness was it cold! They toughed it out and somehow, so did I. It was easily 30 degrees with the wind chill. The light was amazing and their pups picked our location for their photos. We walked all over the place for photos and had a ball. I am only showing you one of many of their goofy photos–but I have more!
Enjoy these sneaks!

At 5 adults and 2 kids, this session had a lot of people! It was a jam packed hour with lots of fun, giggles, and leaves. The little lady you see is always full of smiles. The tiny gent…he is a really shy guy. My very favorite part of the session is just how much little mister came out of his shell. If I hadn’t met him before, I would never know how very reserved Ryan can be.
If you follow this blog, you have “met” this family before. I shared Gabby’s story last year right after she experienced a very serious traumatic brain injury (TBI). So really and truly, my favorite favorite favorite part of this session was seeing with my own eyes just how healthy Gabby is now.
Enjoy these memories:

It was truly amazing to meet this special guy and his sweet family. Kyran has something in common with my very own little guy–he is a NICU graduate. It’s so unfair to watch tiny babies struggle at their start but such a joy to celebrate what they have overcome. Little man, like most 2 month olds, was happy, awake and looking for the camera! He fell asleep but it was very typical 2 month old cat nap. I love the way these photos turned out! Take a look!

I adore this couple. It is probably no secret that Millie is one of my very best friends. I love that she has found her match in Alex. It was so special to sit feet away as Alex proposed. Can I tell you, I’ve never missed a Superbowl halftime show? It’s the only reason I actually watch the Superbowl. Well…I missed it this year because that’s when Alex popped the question. Watching Millie and Alex’s special moment was far more entertaining than it would have been to watch Bruno Mars sing on TV.
It was such a privilege to be the person to take these photos for them. The plan was for a romantic photo session in a lavender field. Sometimes Mother Nature is unpredictable. This winter was long and really hard on the lavender plants so there was no lavender. Instead we had a picnic in the lovely fields of the farm with hay bales. (That “we” was intentional, Alex–no mouse in my pocket.) The night before the session I dreamt about a photo session with a beautiful sunset. Would you believe my dream came true? See for yourself! Photos are below.
I cannot wait to continue to watch you make memories together. I’m so excited to watch you get married in February.
