I can’t believe Evelyn is ONE! Not only did I get to celebrate with her, but she brought all her friends with her too! Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet were all there, but Evelyn wasn’t sharing the cake. She got to smash and eat it all on her own.
I remember taking her pretty mama’s maternity photos AND again when Evelyn was a little newborn. I’m so lucky to see her grow into a sweet little girl. Now she’s sporting flower crowns and pigtails. Seriously, where has time gone??
If you are looking for a milestone photographer in the Northern Virginia area, I would love to work with you. Milestone photos (like first year photos) should be reserved 2 months in advance, further out if during peak times of spring or fall.] Please contact me for specific availability and a free consultation.
We had very different plans for these photos, but it snowed the day before this family photo session. Mid-April–we thought we were out of the woods on the whole winter storm advisory thing.
I knew that mama really wanted to be able to put her girls in spring dresses and not worry about chilly weather, so we rescheduled for the following week and we made it work. I had been stalking these late blooming cherries for an entire month and was so frustrated that they hadn’t bloomed yet. It worked out perfectly because while the frost got a couple of the buds near the top of the tree, the rest popped just days before their session.
Baby sister is turning 1 so it was important to incorporate her birthday in this photo session as well. We opted to skip the cake smash bit. Juliana decided a prop smash was in order instead.
Enjoy these photos!
This little guy holds the record for most smiley baby I’ve ever met. He smiled at EVERYTHING! Even when he cried. His momma told me that he was a happy, smiley baby. I did my due diligence and tried to prepare her for the fact that some smiley babies are so fascinated with the black box on my face that they just stare. I didn’t need to! He smiled on camera and off.
It was a joy meeting this family. I adore families that push me to brave the cold with them because honestly, I’m not ready to give up outdoor sessions yet this season!!
