This urban photo session in Old Town Alexandria was incredibly fun for me! I absolutely loved the cobblestone alleys, stone streets and, quaint setting Old Town has to offer. This family and I have had the opportunity to explore all over the DC and Virginia area in our 5 years of working together.
It means a lot that the D. family has wanted me to take their photos every year, some years more than once! They live in the city and I live and work way out in the suburbs! So each year we try to find a fun new spot to explore that meets us in the middle. Last year we visited Green Spring Gardens, which is a well-kept and blooming garden managed by Fairfax County Parks.
The streets of Old Town were new to us all! I have been myself but it has ben quite a while. Dad also said it had been years since he had visited. We started on the city’s old streets and eventually made our way down to the waterfront. The boys spent some of our walk with their matchbox cars out, exploring along the way.
