How adorable are these sweet little 3 month old twins? 3 month old milestone sessions focus on your baby’s emerging personality. They can hold up their heads in tummy time, look at the camera and smile. Little mister even laughed at me during his session.
Their mom reached out with the request for a simple, neutral session for her twins. Neutrals are a big favorite here. We are always collecting neutral props for sessions and mixing in different fabric textures. It is incredibly fun to dress up the sweet little babies who visit us. We strive to make it easy for you by providing a collection of age and size appropriate outfits from our favorite handmade prop artists.
If you are looking for a baby photographer in the Northern Virginia area, I would love to work with you. Milestone photos are taken throughout baby’s first year at my in-home studio in Sterling, VA when your baby is showing good head control, sitting, standing or, celebrating their first birthday. Discounted baby plans are also available. It is important to book your milestone session 4-6 weeks in advance. Please contact me for specific availability.
Happy birthday to this sweet girl! I adore her gorgeous hair, blue eyes and those most perfect baby legs! Charlotte had a few happy moments, sitting in my cute new box (the things I do to babies!) She also showed us the progress she is making toward walking, and was quite perplexed by that pesky number 1 that I kept putting in front of her.
Some new studio news: I will be available for indoor milestone sessions on Monday and Tuesdays beginning in September! If you are planning a milestone session for the fall–now is the best time to book to ensure your pick of dates.

It was so fun to photograph these sweet friends of ours from my sons preschool days. We last met for family maternity photos this spring before little Charlotte was born. I remember that Kate was looking forward to becoming a big sister.
Now that baby Charlotte has arrived, these photos were their first as a family of four and everyone was just perfect. Kate was happy to pose for photos, Charlotte fit perfectly into the cute little box I brought along and mom and dad helped with the smile making. Sunset photos at the end of sessions is becoming more routine. It is a great way for kids to get all of the wiggles out, and I am able to take a few lifestyle photos of the kids as they play.
I hope the four of you and your families love these photos forever.
Oh how I loved taking these maternity photos! I photographed little Catie Jo when she was born and am so happy that her family is now expecting a baby brother. I look forward to meeting their baby boy for photos when he is born in just a few weeks.
Look at their outfits! I have a small collection of maternity gowns I offer for expecting mamas to wear. This mama went a step above though and found her very own through one of my favorite vendors. Catie girl is always sporting the very best monograms so of course she was wearing an adorable monogrammed dress. Papa was dressed in the most perfect complimentary plaid.
This family has a set of angel twins so it was important to incorporate them in a special way. Pink and purple signify Abby and Brooke, sisters born far too soon at 20 weeks gestation but forever in their family.

I was invited to the local Live, Love, Latch fundraiser benefitting La Leche League of Northern, VA again this year. It was such a beautiful day full of happy kids and happy parents. I don’t think photographing 8 families could have run any smoother than it did!
I was only a very small portion of the fundraising efforts that day but was thrilled to play a part.
I hope you enjoy these sneak peek photos!
Oh baby Briggs. It was so great to meet this little man. If his newborn photos have anything to do with it, this dude is going to be quite the all star. Briggs was such a sweetie and loved to be swaddled. He did let me get a few pictures with his arms and legs exposed, but we had to work a little harder for those.
I first met his mama and papa at their maternity session a few weeks ago where we included a sign his mama and grandpa made for him. It was so fun to include it in his newborn session as well.
I can’t wait for you to see these photos!
If you are looking for a newborn photographer in the DC Metro area, I would love to help you. I serve Loudoun, Fairfax, and Montgomery County as well as Washington DC. I still have 1-2 October dates available for a newborn session and am currently booking through January.
One of my larger challenges in life as a mom has been getting IN photos with my children. Taking photos is my job. Literally my job. So it takes effort to remember a selfie, asking my husband to take a photo of me with him and the kids when we are out together, or sometimes, family photos. When I take family photos, they are literally the LAST to be edited, after client photos.
Natalie, the mama here is a photo mama too. I’m so honored to take these photos of her family. I love her work and for her to also appreciate mine makes my heart sing. We had a great time during their session. Cute little Nadiem was full of the BIGGEST smiles, and sometimes the baby “what is that thing?” stare into the camera. This was also the first time I met their little guy since photographing him in utero a year ago. My how fast time goes.
Natalie also comes with a pretty amazing reflector holder hubby. It’s not every day you find TWO folks with an eye for light, so Walid, thanks for the assist!
I hope you enjoy these photos!
